This page explains how to use the Country Database Notion Template, including setup, structure, and basic troubleshooting.
What This Template Does
The country database template provides a structured list of countries that can be used across your Notion workspace.
Instead of repeatedly typing country names in multiple databases, you can connect them through relations. This makes it easier to track locations for projects such as travel planning, film origins, book settings, company headquarters, or other geographic references.
The template is designed to function as a reusable reference database that links cleanly with other Notion databases.

How the Template Is Organized
Countries Database
The Countries database stores a structured list of countries that can be connected to other databases in your workspace.
Each country entry can include information such as:
- country name
- continent or region
- notes or related references
This allows the database to act as a centralized geographic reference.
Using Countries in Other Databases
The main purpose of this template is to create relationships between countries and other data in your workspace.
Examples include:
- linking countries to movies or books
- tracking travel destinations
- recording company headquarters
- organizing international projects
To connect a country to another database, create a Relation property and link it to the Countries database.
