SEO Content Writing

Content Writing

SEO-informed blog posts, service pages, and website copy written for how your customers actually search.

Content That Ranks and Reads Well

Most small business websites have a content problem. Either the pages are too thin to rank, the blog has stalled, or the copy was written without thinking about what customers are actually searching for. The result is a site that looks fine but does not generate traffic or leads from search.

This service covers the writing itself: blog posts, service pages, location pages, and website copy, all grounded in keyword research, search intent, and practical SEO structure. Every piece is written to serve a specific role in your site architecture, not just to fill a publishing calendar.

How Content Projects Work

A straightforward process from topic selection through published content.

1

Topic and keyword alignment

I confirm the topic, target keyword, search intent, and the role the piece plays in your site structure before writing starts.

2

Brief or outline review

For larger pieces or ongoing work, I share a brief or outline so you can confirm direction before the draft.

3

Writing and SEO structure

I write the piece with proper heading structure, keyword targeting, internal links, and meta recommendations included.

4

Delivery and revision

You get the finished piece ready to publish, with one revision round included and notes on where it fits in your site.

What I Write

Content scoped to specific business and SEO goals, not generic filler.

SEO blog posts

Long-form and mid-length blog content targeting specific keywords, answering real questions, and building topical authority over time.

Service page copy

Clear, conversion-focused copy for service pages that explains what you do, who it is for, and why it matters. Structured for search from the start.

Location and service-area pages

Pages targeting city and service-area searches with locally relevant content, not just the city name swapped into a template.

Website copy and page rewrites

Homepage, about, and core page copy rewritten for clarity, messaging, and SEO alignment when existing copy is not pulling its weight.

Content briefs and outlines

Keyword-grounded briefs that define the target term, intent, structure, and angle. Useful if you have a writer but need strategic direction.

FAQ and supporting content

FAQ sections, comparison pages, and supporting content that fills gaps in your topic coverage and strengthens internal linking.

Ask About Fit

Content Writing with a Kansas City operating base

Content Writing can be framed for local, regional, or remote work without sounding like a generic city page. The point is to keep the real market context visible when it helps the offer make sense.

  • Content Writing that matches the market instead of a filler-heavy location template
  • Location language that reflects how the business actually sells and delivers
  • A page that still reads naturally when the work is local, regional, or remote

Operating base

The business is anchored in Overland Park, Kansas, so the local context can be stated directly instead of implied with vague SEO language.

How work gets done

Some projects need a nearby partner. Others are better handled remotely. The copy can say that plainly and still feel intentional.

Metro reach

We support Overland Park, Lenexa, Olathe, Shawnee, Prairie Village, Leawood, and the wider KC metro.

Remote delivery

When geography is not the selling point, the section can still support remote work without losing credibility.

Who This Is For

Content writing works best when the business has clear services and an audience but the website is not doing enough to attract or convert organic search traffic.

Businesses whose blog has stalled or never had a real keyword strategy behind it

Service businesses with thin or outdated service pages that are not ranking

Companies that want content written by someone who understands SEO, not just writing

Businesses preparing for or already in a monthly SEO engagement that needs content support

Teams that know they need content but do not have time to write it themselves

What This Is Not

Content writing is focused on the writing and SEO structure. A few adjacent needs fall outside this scope.

Not social media copy, ad creative, or email campaign writing

Not graphic design, photography, or video production

Not content distribution or promotion. I write it, you publish it (or I publish it if I have access).

Not full brand messaging or voice development. I work within your existing voice or develop a practical one during the project.

Not a guarantee of specific rankings from any individual piece of content

Research before writing

Every piece starts with keyword data and intent analysis so the content targets something people are actually searching for.

Built into your site structure

Content is written with internal linking, page hierarchy, and topic coverage in mind, not as an isolated blog post.

Written to rank, not just to read

Heading structure, keyword placement, meta recommendations, and on-page SEO are part of the deliverable, not an afterthought.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you only write SEO content?

SEO is always part of the process, but the writing itself is meant to be useful and clear for real visitors. I do not write keyword-stuffed content or sacrifice readability for search optimization.

Can you write for my industry if you are not an expert in it?

Yes. Most of my content work is for service businesses where the expertise comes from research, interviews, and understanding how your customers search. If the topic requires deep technical knowledge, I will flag that upfront.

Do you publish the content or just deliver it?

Both options are available. I can deliver finished content for your team to publish, or I can publish directly to WordPress or Squarespace if I have access.

How does this relate to the monthly consulting retainer?

The Growth Plan consulting retainer includes up to 2 SEO blog posts per month. If you need content outside of a retainer, whether that is a one-time batch, service page rewrites, or content at higher volume, this is the standalone option.

Do you provide keyword research as part of the writing?

Yes. Basic keyword and intent research is included with every piece. If you need deeper standalone keyword research, that is available as a separate service.

What does a typical blog post cost?

Individual posts start at $400 for a standard SEO blog post. Pricing depends on length, research depth, and topic complexity. Batches and ongoing content are priced per piece at a lower rate.
